Supplier Quality – JSM
Description
Supports Engineers in carrying out production-related and inspection jobs; assists in monitor materials quality in processing plants and making the required adjustments; ensures maintenance of documentation and records.
Works under minimal supervision.
Compares the physical characteristics of components, materials, equipment and products to technical specifications to identify defects.
Conducts simple tests (for example on electrical function, reliability, packaging quality).
Records results and prepare simple technical reports.
Provides product and component testing using a range of measurement equipment.
Provides advanced programming, training, and operation of measurement and test equipment.
Assists customers in understanding/interpreting product specifications and application of measurement data.
Participates in measurement uncertainty studies for measurements associated with measurement or calibration results.
Ensures proper maintenance and calibration of the measurement and test equipment.

Laboratory Management - Leads technical resources while managing the business aspects of a laboratory using measure to control both the technical and business aspects of the organization and assuring the requirements of the appropriate certifications and/or accreditations are met.
Quality Process Management - Applies and manages methods (e.g. SPC, Capability studies, Layered Process Audit, inspection, test) to ensure quality of Cummins products, processes, and services.
Education, Licenses, Certifications
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience
Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
Quality system ISO/TS 16949, and delivering satisfactory product quality.
Basic Quality Tools - Use of Basic Quality Tools includes the ability to understand what quality tool is appropriate, ability to apply the Quality Tool, and the ability to analyze the data that results from use of the tool. Simple tools include Pareto analysis, histograms, control charts. More complex tools include tools such as Design of Experiments and Quality Function Deployment.
Problem Solving And Quality Improvement - Problem Solving and Improvement approaches, including understanding of tools/process type and selection, plus Corrective and Preventive Action processes.
Knowledge of basic quality system, ISO & Power BI
